Ventilation Problem

OK so my growcab is in my closet and im having a problem with my ventilation, problem is that its to hot inside the box during the summer months. Right now ive got an inline fan exhausting air into the attic, with 2 passive intakes pulling air in from the attic through a hole in the roof. Is there anything that i can do besides have some fans running to get the temp down? I have a 150 hps that i cant run because it would kill the plants untill the temperature goes down. And i dont want to waste plants on just a few cfls.. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

I would say invest in a small a/c unit. What kind of fans r u using?u may need to get stronger fans to bring in the cool air..If all else fails u may need to just use floros or cfls..

If your'e close to flowering go for it. Even if your'e not ready for 12/12 anyway. Leave the lights on at night, turn em off at around 8-9 AM. I had the same problem so I had to go to sealed reflector pulling air in from outside through the light and into my hot garage. It's a bitch growing in the summer indoors especially in a closet without AC or a sealed reflector. Is there any cool place that you can draw air from like a basement? Good luck!

OKAY your problem is that you are pulling in hot air. think about it you are sucking all the heat from you lights into attic but then just bringing it bac into the room. it is like a cycle try to bring in the air from some where else.

I would recommend looking up what's called a "swamp cooler" if you can't afford an AC unit. I think they said it's practically like a cooler with ice in it and a fan blowing into a t-shirt that's just above the cooler so any moisture is caught and recycled back into the cooler, or something man; I really don't know. HaHa

Also, i've heard of people putting re-freezable ice packs in their room, and of course adding CO2 will cool the room somewhat. During your winter months; that should be okay to bring in your attic air. Mosttimes during the summer, it gets hotter in your attic than it is outside. How many simultaneous watts do you want to have burning?

Hit the nail on the head, need intake from crawl, air handler, outdoors or even another room.
