Using a 150W HPS light with mylar along surrounding walls/floor on 1 plant.. I was wondering if its possible to keep it cool in a closet growspace (3x3' or so) with no door on front just a sheet hanging. Is it possible to keep cool from just an oscilating fan on the plants/ fan going out the window of the room(not growspace.. room that closet is in) because room is on 2nd floor and it will get around 90 or so without any fans.. Just wondering if I can keep it living and fairly healthy with simple ventilation like this Thanks +rep for anyone who can help

Using only a 150, then I would say u could keep it comfortable by using fans. should not be a prob, unless the surrounding room the closet is in get really hot. Then u may need to draw some fresh air in from like a window and exhaust the hot air. but them small amount of light generally shouldnt b a prob.

U may also want to consider the odor, the more ur leafs move from the air (a good thing by the way) the more odor will be in the air.

Yeah the room can get pretty hot when its hot outside.. If I were to try and vent the room out a little to keep it cool would I have to use ducting to vent it that way? +rep by the way thanks

Edit: Odor isn't too much of a problem.. It can smell dank all throughout the upstairs really it just cant smell dank to the neighbors or people outside really.. I figured I would use ONA block or gel since its only 1 plant also

if you're venting straight outside you should do something about the smell, your neighbors will be able to smell your plant once it's late into flowering. heat shouldn't be much of a problem if it's such and open space like that, just keep fresh air coming in too.

It isn't that open.. 1 window and room is 10'x10'(Rough estimation).. And carbon filter could be an option if absolutely necessary but I would prefer to use ONA gel or something cheaper. And heat is main concern because it does get hot in room and it may be okay with fan on the plant then ONA block next to growspace and a fan out the window venting the room?

Yah Man its all about the air flow.:bigjoint:
Im doing an grow also in my closet but with a door.
I just keep my door cracked and my windows open. And Im fortunite to have a hole in the back of the closet leading into my basement.
Im gonna get a small fan to pull air from the inside the closet and push it into the basement. hopefully this gonna cause a suction of some sort.
but thats if i need too.
Check out my grow to see my girls.
Good luck:weed:

i've never used ona block so i can't speak good or bad on it. i say you build a box and have a fresh air intake fan from the window through ducting, and exhaust back out the window with a fan and ducting, and have a oscillating fan in the box.

This could be an option but I'm not sure about right at the moment.. I am 2 days into flowering and just looking for a way to get myself through this one grow with this particular arrangement because time has brought summer which is the only season that really poses a problem with temp.. any opinion helps thanks
