So this year is my first grow of outdoor as well as first grow in soil. Iv done 2 grows indoor in dwc. Im liking the outdoor season so far, started one seedling on May 1st just to see how the outdoor works, then on June 1st started 10 more since oviously couldnt help myself lol. Liking outdoor growing so far and want to plan a bit next year since im in Ontario, Canada and we dont have a very long season to make my lady big.

What im thinking is starting my plants last week on March indoors, and since around here we dont put plants out untill last week of May, that will give me 2 months of veg, Im hoping to have them about 2 feet tall and bushy will this happen in soil? Also that will allow me to veg outdoor for about 2 months, will my plants explode once I put them outdoors since they have developed good roots? I have a great location. any input would be great thanks guys. Ill be sure to post pics after the weekend of my girls when I visit them.

My personal experience; I had my plants indoor for 3-4 weeks from seedlings to well, small plants lol. I put them outside and in the first week they almost doubled in size from the sun.
BUT I was not using high end equipment like I'm sure you have, I was mostly just trying to give them a small headstart since our growing season is shorter as well. Just a plant light bulb in a small lamp, put them in a window that got a a few hours of direct sunlight a day and lamp when sun was out of window. This may or may not help, probably not so much lol. Better get a more qualified opinion than mine! :P

Could use t5 or t8 fluoros, cfls or metal halide. Some growers will grow plants out to 2 feet and then put them outside so its all really about what your able to do but i say go big or go home

I was planning on using t8's and growing them out to 2 feet and then put them outside. I want 32 monsters by the end of the season. I know alot depends on yeild but am I looking at getting a lb per plant minimum? (if i grow out to 2feet before i put outside at start of season)
I know in other area's the yeild is a givin im just dont have much info on ontario growing.

2 feet is a safe bet for a pounder but you'd need full sun and a real good soil mix. One thing about the t8s they don't have a lot of foliage penetration so they need to be close to the plants and side lighting should be added once the bitches start getting bushy. If you plan on growing out 32 2 foot plants i might suggest just going with a metal halide if you don't already have one

i used t5's and got them to 18" indoors then went outside and now thy are 4' tall i live also in ontario.... transporting them was scary as fuck as you dont want a ticket with plants in the back of a hatchback. i planted early may after germinating them in the wet paper towel and 2 dishes. plus i stunted them with small pots too much ferts and shit
