Okay , well im building a veg box . Im going to be vegging my ladies to about 10-12 Inch's. Just wondering what would be the best size pots for vegging them 10-12 in. I currently have 5 inch pots ( 5 inch deep too) . Would these be fine to veg in to the height i want without becoming root bound.

Any advice would be GREAT, Thanks guys

I think you should transplant when still in seedling stage so there is no need to wait a week for transplant shock,,and unrestricted root growth is better than letting them get root bound. I transplant when the 2nd set of 'true' leaves are out,,not the for cotyden or what ever they are called leaves...the actual fan leaves..

personally,,I would transplant when its about a week into the seedling stage into the final pots,,3 gallon pots, and from my exp. anything bigger than 3 gallon for somthing that isnt going to be in the pot for more than 3 months is a waste of soil. I use 5 gallon for mothers.
so take from that what you will.

Take it easy..

I would definitely agree that transplanting immediately into the pots you'll flower in will be best to avoid stress during the switch to 12/12. As for pot size, 5 inches is way to small. At a minimum you should have a gallon per month (1 month veg plus 2 month flower would be 3 gallons). I would recommend always going bigger though, if you have room for 7.5 gallon pots I'd go for it, you'll have much healthier plants. I switched to 7.5 from 5 gallon pots for my current grow and there's a huge difference. Hope this helped!
