Using Vinegars?/! Do You Use them?

I have been watching FCP living soils conversations and learning a ton! One had a person speak to using dilute vinegars to strengthen leaf cuticle against pests.
Also, If one was to make Water Soluble Calcium would that kill two birds with the same stone???
