experiments with this show the clones root one day faster, sometimes 2 days earlier. Using this lamp with a 400MH in an area 4 x 6 feet. all stages are rockwool hydro ebb/flo.
Notice the blue spike. I use a 400MH eye with this and it is only on 4 hours during the beginning of each 18 hour light cyle in stage 1... the veggie stage.
I've used it in flowering and it's working as advertised -some cleaner taste and odor plus a more unified stonage out the bud. Better? Maybe, but there are other areas i do notice it improves the plant. good tasting smoke is good.. right? right. It's paired with a 600HPS in stage 2 area where the flowers reside.
all in all, for those who can't afford or can do without, it's not that big a deal -i agree.
But, if you're looking for a little extra robust umph in your process and would like to further replicate nature in the taste of your indo, this shit works. Makes your kief taste like wicked dry Blond Lebonese. 2 twenty-six watt bulbs, one hanging in each stage, regulated with timers on short 4-5 hour cycles during the light cycle of each stage.
