using alkaline water for weed plant?

what do you guys thing?
i was thinking on give my plants some high alkaline water like 8.0 or 8.5 with nutrients? and advice or tips would be helpful

so you're assuming alkaline water would damage the crop by nute burn, nute burn only happens when you have a over 1300 ppm never tried to grow with a high ph before, i have a water ionizer that produces alkaline water above 9.1 maybe i should try once and show the info of outcome

I think you could pull it off with the right medium.. Peat moss has a low ph.. 4.5 or so.. the proper amendments would help.. You might be able to find a good medium that works with a higher ph water. If you have a water source at the ph then I could see why you would want to try. Less work is always better, imo.

I think with a good soil you could pull off 8 - 8.5 just fine.. I don't fuck with ph'ing my veggie beds and they do pretty well. I'm pretty sure tomatoes like a lower ph than mj.. i have to drench raised beds in July and August with 9.1 ph several times a week and they do ok.. not like my indoor garden though.
