using a small amount of weed to make oil?

i heard of rick simpsons oil that is made by mixing weed with alchohol then boiling the alchohol away in an electric rice cooker so your left with the pure resin. since i want to make a small amount with a dime i was thinking of soaking a dime in a small amount of alchohol and then let it sit in a glass container surrounded by boiling hot water until all the alchohol evaporates. to prevent explosions i would put a balloon over the glass gar to ctach the rising gas and also have air circulating.

would this work? i know its a small amount but consider it an experiment

Alcohol is flammable but not explosive unless possibly under pressure, like trapped in a balloon. Let the weed soak for a month or two, then strain out the weed in a garlic press and let the alcohol evaporate naturally. you will have the oil like Rick Simpson.

Did it once with 1/2 oz, soaked 5 months, strained and let it sit about 2-3 weeks. Came out with a hash like goo that worked smoking straight up, mixed with weed, or eaten. Not much return for the effort, but it was Mexi-dirt weed and the concentrate was quite good considering the original product.

just make iso hash without the heat... heat is used to bind thc to the iso like in greed dragon if you are wanting to do it make GD but dont use heat and iso
