using a candle to reduce humidity..?

was listening to Hightimes podcast "free weed" and i think it was DJ short that said that you could use a candle in your growroom to reduce humidity..
has anyone tried this? idont see how this would work...just sounds dangerous to me lol. but! since im having a humidity problem durring fowering @70% humidity im going to try it..
But not in my grow space though.. i have 5 tea candles sitting outside my air intake of my growbox.. I HOPE it works. but probly not haha

A fire risk in any language stick them in a metal bucket or even a roasting dish, but there are many safer ways to reduce humidity, like those things you stick in a closet?
