Growing outdoors in containers with probably foxfarm ocean forest soil. I was wondering should I use domolite Lime or not. The water I use is 6.5 ish. Anybody have any serious experience on this. Or even recommend a different soil.

That’s perfect water ph. Mine is 8.6 out of the tap. Idk fox farm soil ph. But unless it is pretty acidic, or you’re going to add acidic amendments, then I would just skip the dolomite lime.

If your using brand new soil then no you wont need it. It contains it. If i was going to run a 4-5 month container grow , i would add some lime. It wont hurt anything and it may help towards the end of the season. You for sure dont "need" it though.

How much should you add per gallon if you create your own soil?

I really love Dolomitic lime. It really doesn’t affect my soils pH drastically, and the benefits of its calcium and magnesium content are in my opinion under-appreciated
