urgent lighting question

well my plants have just sprouted (outdoor) but there was rain and they are basically dead so i brought them in. can my bedroom light which is 80 watts help them at all considering they are very small?

Go down to the hardware store and get a couple CFL's. They are cheap and certainly better than incandescent lighting. I use 3 each 150 watt (equivalent) CFL's for starting seedlings and for clones and I have always had good results. You can buy a bulb and the socket with reflector for under 20 bucks. Not a bad investment if you really want to save your girls. It is not as good as some of the advanced fluorescent lights out there designed for plants but is light years away (no pun intended) from the incandescent bulbs. Besides there is really no heat issues with CFL's.
