Urgent Help! :O

Hi there,

im a bit of a newbie to the growing scene, (been a user however for a longgg time). But heres my problem, or maybe not a problem thats what i need answered :)

I placed 9 seeds, (3 in each cup) in water and left them in the dark, I saw small white bits coming out the bottom of them or just opening up so i've placed them into a rockwell seedling tray, i've placed this into my hydroponic system which i cut holes in a lid for each so the light doesn't reach the roots, however

a) The bottom of the seedling trays does not touch the water running through, is this okay? I'm guessing the roots will grow downwards in search and eventually reach the water but i just wanna make sure

b) Also, have i put them in too early? Should i have waited till the white bit was a couple of mm's long? (I was worried i'd drowned them)

If you could please help me clear this all up it'd releave a LOT of worry on my shoulders atm :P

They've been placed in so theres no going back but at least i can learn for next time i spose...

I did manage to place them all with the white bit at the bottom so it can push the seed out easily and form the leave, thats the one thing i did remember! :P

So yeh, if yu have a few seconds to spare to help a fellow rollitup user out, please do :)

Light em up :weed:

I usually wait a few days longer until the seeds are really good and sprouted, but I'm sure you will be fine. I can't picture your other question though...as long as the rockwool is in contact with water at some point it will wick up enough to keep the plants happy if that's your question.
