Upside down Grow?

I dont have much experience growing but I had an Idea and wanted to know if anyone had tried it. Would it be possible to grow plants like this: www.hangingtomato.com? I was thinking that you could do it in a closet grow set up with a 400 or 600 hps cool tube between plants on the floor and plants hanging upside down. The way you would no have any light lost in the reflector. You would have to adjust the hight of the cool tube and the hanging plants often though. The hanging ones would have to be soil based bc hydro would leak. Anyway I would love your comments on this setup.

ever thought about rooting a clone upside down? that would work
