Update: Prices dropping at some recreational stores in Colorado

Early on in January lines were long and people were flocking in from all over the world to buy some weed and get a cool souvenir paper receipt. You couldn't find an 1/8th for less than $60, sometimes way more. There were only a few stores open in Denver and they could keep the prices as high as they wanted as long as the lines were long.

Well, more stores are opening and prices are dropping as they ratchet up the competition. At least in Boulder, in Denver the prices are still high from what I've seen. About 3-4 more places opened in Boulder this week and prices are actually starting to get reasonable. 1/8ths are now going from around $20-$55. I'm hoping more top shelf stuff goes down in price too. Definitely going to start undercutting the black market.

The only problem I have with rec shops now is the amateur hour bullshit with pricing and packaging. Prices are different between the website and standing there at the counter with not enough cash in a cash only business. Usually because they didn't add tax, or recently changed prices, etc. Then each place has different ideas about packaging and whether or not the price is included with the order. Hopefully they'll get it all sorted out.

I've been to this place a few times. Got a sativa co2 oil syringe last time, it's good. A few of their strains are pretty decent, some just ok.
