Update on my setup:)

Hello all. I've been working on this setup for a while. Finally i got this cabnit build. I'm using

-MG soil with preferts(:S) lol
-cfls 6500K veg///2700K Flower
-2 5" fan stacked for exhaust with homemade carbon filter.
3" hole for intake
- 5" fan blowing on plants.

I have 2 plants going. 1 i had in veg for like 3 weeks and i went on vacation and the guy looking after it nute burnt it and killed everything. I had 1 node left when i got back lol. So i started veg over. Been vegging again for like 3 weeks. I switched it over to flowering about 5 days ago.
Im running 7x 2700cfls and 2x 6500cfls right now for flowering with 2 plants.

The second plant was a seedling some guy gave me so i figured what the hell i'll throw it in the flowering box and just start it from 12/12 for fun haha.

The bigger plant is a female. Pistels are coming in very nicely. More and more everyday now. The little one still no sex signs.

Here are some pictures of the babies. Tell me what u think. Any help is appreciated.

I do have one question tho. My plant is growing kinda funny i thought. It's just all over the place lol. It doesnt really have much pattern. It just is growing new sets of leaves everywhere haha.
Whats up with that? No idea on the strain. Also IS my lighting enough?

daamn thats a tight ass setup u got bro

whered u get those things to hook up ur cfls to ur power strip to?

Just at any home depot store or something like that in the electrical section. Its just a light socket which has a adapter for a light balb, cost like 3 bucks. And then i just bought Y splitters. Which are also about 3 bucks a piece.

thanks man just picked some up at a local hardware store for like 2 bucks each..i never had even heard of em til i saw ur setup...saved me a shit load of $ and the hassle of using lamps lol, u read that 8oz of bud for less then 100 dollars book yet, or whatever its called, i think u definitely got enough lights for ur plants based on that book. the dude supposedly had 6 or 7 all 42 watts and got a shit load from it. some people use 12 to 16 cfl bulbs to grow theirs but i think if u have a few higher watt bulbs it will work just as good. id go with atleast 4 per plant just to be safe.

right on man. I haven't read the book yet but i def will. Thanks for the tip dude. Yeah i got 4 on each plant right now and one on the side. I think once they get higher i will possibly add more. Im not quite sure of the watts of the balbs. i've been going by the K. They say 6500K for veg and 2700 for flowering

put in a grow light in there and you will see a huge difference. I just added 2 grow lights to my setup, i have to plants going right now and after i added the second grow light they took off.

thats the idea more lights = more growth.

what exactly is a grow light? You mean like a reflector? How else could i add more cfls. And do i add more 2700K? or 6500K? Im thinking about getting a HPS for my next grow. How big should i get for 2 plants in that cabnit? and how much are they?

I cant get a HPS for this set up. So what should i do to make up for it? How many more cfls do i need? cause i've seen guys with not many cfls and pop out nice buds?

Also sorry to post again, Do u think i should LST it some? Would that help the light in other bud sights? If so, which parts of the plant do i tie down? like just grab branchs buy the node and start tiein them down? what is a good trick to it? and by my pictures is it a good idea or just let it go?

Once those plants get much larger you lights will start to become rather ineffective on anywhere else except the tops of the plants. CFLs have to be rather close to work well. For that small set up, I would get a 150 watt HPS for the top and move the CFLs to the sides. Otherwise I would start flowering them now.
