update man

been about 10 weeks now i know it goin slow but its comein. im startin to get leaves growin out the branches just got my first paycheck so im bout to do some investing. any advice is good jus let me kno wat u think

what do you have? we need to know this so we can give advise on what you MIGHT need

i got 250 man

a 250 is most acceptible for 1-2 plants, if it is MH you can easily put a HPS bulb in with no problems. hps will be better spectrum for flowering, other then that soil, nutes, ???

i only have 1. but were can i get hps an wats the price rang? im bout to get the fox farm 3 pack thats around 50

when he said 250 i believe he was talking cash on hand and about putting hps bulb in MH fixture I was under the impression i could not do this? I have a 400 watt MH and i would like to know if i can do this

Take that money and go buy some real seeds because for how long youve been growing those, the bud may not be worth it. If your really set on budding them though, invest in a good flowering bulb because its getting to be that time. GL

if you want big plants you need hydro; you can make a bubbler for cheap. if you want crazy nugs, you're going to need a serious light. i suggest a 600w hps. but like dude said. the most important is the genetics. do yourself a favor and buy you some first-class seeds. $250 is a good start. be prepared to spend much more.

well this is my first grow its mostly experimental i just kind of jumped in to it and ive been usin the sight to pick up info and help me along.

then since you r not looking to upgrade your lighting quite yet, maybe start stocking up on all the other equipmetn you'll need

and well, just to be like everyone else, get an hid for flower!!!

keeping it cost affective, at htg-supply.com they have a full 400w hps setup that'll flower a few plants wonderfully... for only 140 after shipping

well i cant order off the internet ive been looking around but all ive got are cfls no any were i can go pick these up???

umm... you can get 75w hps setups at homedepot and lowes

but for they're price (like atleast 60 bucks a pop) for the price 2 you can get the better one online (which sucks if you can't order online)

other than that, a hydro store would be the best place to go, but here in town, the cheapest setup they have for a 400w hps (this one has the built in ballast to the reflector, which i don't want cuz of heat issues) goes for about 180 after taxes and shit.... but you'd still be able to get one for that price


other than that, do lots of reading about them, go to a commercial lighting supply place nearby (look in the yellow pages for them) and usually they have HID setups (i mean, hps and mh lamps fill most streelights across the us, if not the world, lol)

i'm rambling now, hope some of this was help... if not, tell me and i'll try and clarify or help more in whatever way i can
