Up and Growing:) My 400w GL80 grow tent

Just thought I would post some pics and info on my first indoor setup.
I am using the Growlab GL80 grow text (31" x 31" x 72")
400W MH/HPS light
4" Exhaust fans (200 cfm each) One fan for light one for carbon filter
1 double window fan for air circulation, and a small 8"fan in bottom (more air)
Barneys Farm LSD (Fem)
Fox Farm soil and fertilizers
3 Gallon Pots
Fungi Co2 bag
Temps stay about 79-80 when light is on, drop to 73-74 when off
RH 58-62%
Fans running 24/7 (except the fan for light only on when light is on 18/6)
Plants are 7 days old some seed

I have done alot of reading and recieved lots of good info from this site. I hope everything works out as planned. I plan to post as things progress

Very nice setup buddy! Im looking to get a tent like that. What are the dimensions? I like your dual fan setup.

i see that you have two fans pulling air out of the tent. one through the filter and one through the light. it seems to me that the air exhausted through the light is not being scrubbed and could still smell. that may not be apparent now but once those beauties get bigger you might notice this issue.

Yes you are correct the fan that exhaust the heat from the light, does NOT get carbon filtered. I am venting both outside. I really dont have any neighboros as I live on 5 acres, so smell really isnt a big issue. The fan with the carbon filter runs 24/7, the fan for the light only runs when the light is on. I might have to change it up as time goes on or if u can really smell it outside.

I tryed running only the carbon filter and fan as a test run before I started and the temps inside were 95 degrees+, so I had to add the fan for the light......temps r now near perfect

yeah it seemed like one of those catch 22s. maybe there is a way that you can put it all on the same exhaust line like suck through the light, through both fans and out thee filter. maybe that could work.

get a cool tupe, that will sort u out rite, a cool tube is the cheapest metherd on keeping the light cool and it really does a top job. what inches and cfm are your both fans? they look like 6" to me?

Ok, so far so good. Thought I would post a pic. This is one of my Barneys Farm LSD at 2 weeks from germ. They seem to be growning like a weed...LOL.

Update, Everything is going great. These are my 3 Barneys Farm LSD., they were germinated on 9-13-10...so they are about 21 days old Fox Farm Ocean soil, ph6.8 I have yet to give them any nuites...I might start a low dose of grow big and big bloom in a week or so.
I plan on starting flowering in about 4 weeks. I will keep everyone updated.

Start 1/4 recommended nute dose, and start giving it to them now...then work up...they are pretty hungry plants so as long as you dont overdue they like food ...

Any updates on how this turned out I have a GL80 and looking to see what tips I can get from your process

Don't get me wrong, I think its cool that youv got 2 extractors but did you know that each one of those probably uses 130watts. you could get away with just one in a dr80 with a 400hps. if you dont care about electric bill to much don't mind me.
