uhhhh dont know what i have

I've been lurkin around for quite some time tryin to soak up as much as possible, went to a habitat for humanity store and found a light with ballast inside behind reflector......can find all cords for my camera but the bulb has this written on it

just buy a new light so you can trust it from catching fire.

jUST FOUND OUT ITS MERCURY VAPOR......SHIT ONLT PAID FIVE BUCKS FOR IT MAYBE ILL USE FOR SEEDLINGS TILL I GET A COUPLE 150 WATTERS.....THANKS ANWAY...NOW I GOT BACK TO LURKING AND LEARNING

Can't you run a metal halide bulb on a mercury vapor ballast?

You can buy a bulb at Lowes or Home Depot and test it out. If it dont work, return it. I would do a little research on the ballast and lamp itself and see if I could find any compatability issues.

Thanks, i am heading out to a couple stores now so i can find mh bulbs that would work......i read somewhere else that they work so guess ill find out????wish me luck oh yeah and thanks for replies i had damn near given up on this thread havin any input
