I have a 41 day old (since sprout) white widow female that's 11 days into flowering (pic attached). I want to put some side lights in my grow tent since this one female is the only one I got out of my first batch of 5 seeds, and I want to squeeze as much as I can out of her. But she's already 3' wide (24" tall) and only 6" from the walls of the 4' x 4' tent.
So my question is this ... is it OK to pull up the lower branches and tie them to the main stalk (ie. point them upwards) to reduce the diameter of the plant and get more room around the sides? I want to keep it in the tent for smell and ventilation reasons, and have two 4-lamp T5 banks ready to go if I can make the room for them (plan is to rotate the plant 90 degrees each morning ... the top light is a 400W HPS and the reflector sprays light out OK in one side direction but not the other). There are small buds forming at the tips of these lower branches, which have grown out far enough to get past the big fan leaves. It seems that tying them to the main stalk to point them up and also get them closer to the HPS would be good but I don't want to stress her out and have other problems if I do this. Thanks!
