Two Men Get Death For Trafficking Cannabis

ALOR SETAR, June 6 (Bernama) -- The High Court on Sunday sentenced two men to death after finding them guilty of trafficking in 11,135 grams of cannabis four years ago.

Vegetable farmer Ramli Abd Rahman, 36, and civil servant Sulaiman Ismail, 38, had been charged with committing the offence in front of the Kwong Hock Keong Chinese temple in Junjung, Kulim, at about 9pm on May 3, 2006.

Judge Datuk Zamani A. Rahim said the two men were unable to raise a reasonable doubt in the prosecution's case.

Deputy Public Prosecutor Wan Nor Hasnita Wan Daud appeared for the prosecution while Ramli and Sulaiman were defended by counsel Subash Hassan.

as far as China or Malaysia goes, and im certian the their real inmate numbers have been altered, they dont even make the top of the list.

if there is 1 thing the USA loves to do is send there citizens to jail.

penalties for certian crimes world-wide are seriously out of touch with the way the people of world believe are fair.

The USA tells other countrys how to treat their citizens with compassion and freedom, perhaps the USA should lead by example and start sweepin off their own doorstep before they walk on everyone elses.
