I plan to stick around so I figured id start a thread. I've downgraded my grow to very simple. 600 hps over 6 plants in the attic. No walls just a light, plants, humidifier and a fan.
I'm growing 3 strains that I've had for quite a few years.
2 Durga Mata
2 durga mata x stinky widow
2 durga mata x afghan kush
winter time is reg seeds. In the spring I get my autos ready. Same strains only auto genes bread in through auto transsiberian and auto ak.
today was transplant day. I grow them for 2 weeks, transplant, 2 more weeks then switch to flower.the only nutes I use are unsulphered molasses and sometimes towards the end I'll hit them with Gravity. The soil I use is some special stuff I've used for years that is gathered locally. It's pretty hot stuff and plants grow like they are on roids with it. I'll get some pics up once I figure out how....lmao, it's been a while

A little droopy from the transplant but they'll be fine. Like I said, I keep it simple. But my results rival top indoor buds. I don't find smoke I like better then mine too often.

Whelp, after reading beech's thread on nutes, I'll not be using gravity. I usually skip that stuff anyway but will most def be doing it now.

looking pretty good and i agree with you... the smoke i grow is way better than anything i can buy (well most of it) i have been keeping it organic
and i have been trying "supreme growers" nutes\soil amendments check them out (i am using some samples but will probably purchase some when i run out)
the plants have been loving the sweet myco tea and the soil blast
happy growing

Aren't you even going to hang some B&W or Mylar to create 'walls'?
I'm thinking that the reflective 'bounce back' does quite a lot to penetrate to some awkward spots.

And, as for growing better weed than you can buy...
Ever think it's cos people save their best and sell the rest....?

or maybe everyone grows above average?
Maybe average is about 12% from the bottom....?
Maybe the concept of 'average' needs redefining
Like when someone says 'You've got the smaller half'
If it's smaller, it ain't half, retard!
Now go milk the goats before The Rockford Files starts.....

yeah, Mylar helps but this how how I grow these days. Having grown both ways, I can say that the difference isn't worth ripping my attic apart again. As for growing better than buying.....I doubt it. Im affiliated with enough growers to know what's out there. And I've gotten to smoke the top %'s of many of their killer strains. I'm not saying no one can grow better than me, just that the strains and crosses I have suit me best and have received many compliments on taste and high. these days indoor is just to keep me busy till outdoor time comes. lmao, the smaller half....

I'm English so I don't know ANY decent outdoor results.
And I would LOVE to grow a few good sized SATIVA's to make a change from the TENT INDICA's.
(I prefer the UP high from Sat's).

i love my landrace strains for the grow season. Durban is a must grow for me every year. Takes every bit of the season but so effin awesome at the end.

But where do you grow....?
(I don't want exact locations - just an idea of the sun/weather you can expect).

I was thinking about doing a few in a greenhouse but, when I started an indoor, I even pulled up all the poppies in the garden.
I don't want to get noticed because of my garden.

I have a few spots I grow. Most are in the open sun. Sometimes I grow up in the trees. The grow season where I am is very nice. April through October is 70-90 Fahrenheit. Greenhouses are cool to grow in. Unfortunately I only chance short autos in my yard. Everything outside is done far from my home

In the USA which are the best areas to outdoor grow?
By areas I mean STATES - Counties within STATES.

I'm going to start a THREAD on this.

Hey. Maybe you have already been doing uncovered grows in the attic, but just let me say. I have been in many houses that were used as grow houses where tents and cabs and such were not used. Some of the homes have been repainted but the smell is permanent. I have literally had my eyes water from overpowering MJ smell. I would highly consider putting some sort of air purifier or something. Maybe even a 20 dollar walmart camping tent. Just something to keep shit that gets in the air contained a little. My 2 cents. Either way, su casa es su casa. Looking forward to the grow!

There so many states that have great natural areas to grow. I lived in Florida panhandle for a while and loved the grw season climate and soil. In central Florida it was nice to as long as you had a good water supply if it's a dry season. Tenn is remarkable for its mountain bud strains. I've grown in potter county Pennsylvania and enjoyed that season also. The state I grow in is a bit tricky. Safe spots to grow are very hard to find. That's why I like to grow in the trees. It's a bit more work but much safer and IMO harder to spot if done properly.

very true. I should have added that I have a real nice homemade ozone system tied in to my attic exhaust. At the peak of flowering, my attic is odor free.

Subbed...I had a very good friend that did the up in a tree if thats what your saying?
He would just climb up and make a spot for the container....never got to ask him
how he watered he was killed in a MC accident.
Beech

ps.Twisted knows what he is doing...By no means a newbie

watering can can be tricky. Depending on the tree and location, I use climbing spikes or a few other rigs. If it's the right tree, I can set up water collecting bags to make my job easier. Plus I pray for a wet grow season....lol

What's it like for pests?
Insects, birds, squirrels (in Florida spiders the size of basketballs and snakes with enough venom to eradicate Asia!)
I like the idea of an U T G (Up in the Tree's Grow) better in UK than somewhere that's got all those terrifying creatures.

Twist
Have you done a journal of anything to document one of these tree grows?

I am SERIOUSLY considering it as a realistic way to outdoor grow, in a place as crowded as England, without the plants being almost certainly discovered.

it is entirely possible to grow out doors in the uk you have to use youe imagination i had a small grow at the far end of a certain airports land kept an eye on it for a few months never got looked after at all and was all over grow it was perfect and over a mile from the terminal and grew 5 plants and the all finished and never got found i now grow on farmers land by a pond and this year im growing again in a small forest i see out doors as a 50/50 the only risk is planting and watering other than that its risk free for every 1 you wish to live put 2 extra to die i put 3 times what i wish to harvest and if i loose a few or a site is found im covered
