TV light affect dark per? + rep

With nature in mind, I think anything brighter than moonlight could potentially disrupt the flowering period. I think TV would be too bright, but I haven't had any experience with it though.

Def to bright. As far as i know, marijiana will not use its energy on green lightbulbs. Ur gonna need a rubrermaid box or sumthin. No need to make her a him:)

lol thx +rep. Im actually using a rubbermaid 18 gal lol. I'm asleep when lights turn on. So throwing a blankey over it is a no no. I wound up moving the op to my big ass closet so it should be fine now! thx

u can slowly adjust the light/dark periods by moving the time 1 hour forward/backwards every day until it fits your sleeping hours. it won't stress them. Then u can start using the blanket method when the plants are covered when u wake up, i guess u dont sleep more then 12 hours :P

i say no cuz it as not effected my plants at all. as long as its not directed right at your plants all; the time then you will be ok. really its no differnt then out side lights. its not totaly dark at night all the time, there is moonlight andstar light.

well i guess it also depends on what TV you guys have. i know for sure that my 42" LCD does NOT resemble moon snad starlight but more an alternative table light.

The only truthful thing anyone can say about this is that no-one knows how much it will take to affect a particular plant, and how much the effect will be. Strains are different, individual phenotypes are different, the type and duration of light is different. If you listen to someone saying it didn't bother their plants, that might get you a ticket to Hermieville. The low risk sensible thing to do is keep them dark. But this is america and we're all free to do things half-assed if we want to.

cool thread ninja!
I grow in my room ....
So when i get home i like too watch the tele.....
I have no closet doors....so i just put this big black curtain in front of my closet ....
And leave a 1 foot crack on the side for my fan too blow air in.....
I also put the brightness on the tv down......
So when i stick my hands in the grow closet .....while the tv's on......i strech my arm out and wiggle my fingers....
If i can see my fingers then its a little do bright..... Did this last grow and this grow...and havnt noticed any problems...yet.....

What i should be doing and what i want to do is completely close the door and put an intake can fan or inline shit.....
but since im low on funds and have two big windows in my room , next to my closet .... i just user the fresh air and my lil old fan.... seems to work .... but in the furture i would sugggest the intake / outake w/ good fan vents....
Dont u hate trying to look for shit at night .... but u cant turn on the lights .... sucks....hard to roll blunts in the dark but i manage.....lol

This is for your interpretation: If its lighter than moonlight i suggest it not be near the darkroom.

Best advice in this thread...

dude will be getting rep from me

Lol.. The tv wont really affect them. depending on how long its on them but and unless you had the tv like literally right next to them, you shouldnt have a problem. I mean, really the moon would shine on it at night so a little light doesn't hurt
