trying to cover a 4x4

This is why I said to use 2 of them, but I would do that for a 3 x 3.
For a 4x4 area, I'd use x4 PG180's. Better coverage with multiple smaller lights.

FYI, I'm using about 300-320W for my 2x4 tent..... you're going to want to double that (appox)

I'd get a true 400-500w in that space to maximize results. I believe HH used a PG-400 in a 4x4 with a light mover and got excellent results. I want a light mover :p Bigv....not to hate or anything, but this thread is about him getting advice on a light panel....if they are comparable or not to a 1k HPS harvest, who the fuck cares lol, he seems to be confident about his growing methods.
no light mover that was 2 pg 550 in an 8x8 tent with the movers.

here's what I'm referring too. it shows the light at the end

For $600 I'd do SOG with small clones and T5's, not one big fixture but 2, pre and post stretch, that way you could keep the lights close. I doubt you'll find a lighter mover and decent LED for $600.
Maybe a 6 bulb T5 and two kessils, that could work for $600, one side for the blue t5 and one side for the two RED kessils.

Hey Hyroot
Love the thread although the first page was a predictable start... damn haters. Any way based off of what you said earlier about still using the lights you have, "
i got similar results from 432 watt t5 with reef and freshwater bulbs compared to 1000 watt with hortilux.", I was just wondering if you are trying to do a new room side by side with your old t5 red blues or combine both, which based off of your very first post it seems you want to use both. I don't think that you will need to go with as much lighting as you think, with LEDs you can only push a plant so far before it will just bleach out and burn up. If you already have all of that lighting you could easily supplement with 2 BS240 (they run at 135 to 145 each putting you at around 280 total). They're cheap and for their price quite reliable and good. Many people use them without a problem. That would put your room total at 432+280=712 watts. In a 4x4 room I would not push any more light than that. With that many watts you should have some righteous yeild, but I honestly think that you only need about 600 to 650 of that type of nanometer specific light for a room that size. Than again I only have experience with short plants and depending on how tall your room is you could put some super sativa sized plants in there, especially if you were to use the t5s as supplemental side lighting/ angled side lighting, your penetration will probably rival any room currently running. I'm really excited to see this grow. Good Luck!!!!!!!
Keep on it man,

P.S. It won't un-bold the text. Lame, but shit happens

Actually I have a 6x4 and my t5 covers 2x4 so either a 16 bulb t5 or led's or another 8 bulb and led. I can get 16 bulb with aquarium bulbs for less than 600.
