True hermie?

Hi to all at RIU.

i am currently growing some female seeds c99 x4. i have stressed these quiet badly whilst vegging by heat stress which stunted them between week2-3 of veg. They have since picked up nicely with little mistakes but nothing major. 2 have been topped and 2 have had attempted fim but i fimmed lol, so they just grew extra shoots and now extra tops but the lower shoots have now caught up to the tops.

I have got 2 phenos it would seem 1 of the grapefruit indica and 3 of the pineapple sativa.

They are currently 9 weeks old and 2 weeks into flower. strangely they never showed any preflowers before the flip. About 6-7 days later some preflowers emerged from the Pineapple pheno but nothing from the grapefruit.
after a few days i notice the preflowers were all male on the pineapples with stems but still nothing on the grapefruit. After another few days of carefully watching the balls i noticed pistils coming from all over the 3 male plants usual budding sites and even some from the balls themselves. at the same time as the pistils showing on the pineapples they appeared on the grapefruit.

The balls have slightly grown and not multiplied but the pistils have shot out everywhere along with the calyxes very quickly, the plants look healthy and like other c99 grows i have looked at for this stage of flowering.

I understand hermies most likely happen when you either have a light leak or heat stress during flower but mine arrear to have turned hermie from veg.

i have found this from a different forum by a........Breeder?

when you come to age of sexing your plants feminized seeds can first show male preflowers on the main tips of growing shoots
sometimes its 1 shoot sometimes its all the shoots(these are pre flowers)
but what ive expierienced is that with in a week they start to throw female pistils and stop producing male preflowers with in a few weeks you will forget about it because it becomes 100% female with no male parts to be found anywhere(the only male parts will be the pre floewers) that have disapeard by the huge nugs that have grown over them.

Has anyone else ever experienced this as this is the only time i have seen this mentioned anywhere and i have been searching high and low for over a week now.

Thanks in advance

Happy Toking:joint:

Cut them off, if they regrow toss it. If it's in a room full of other plants, just toss it.

I wouldn't let them disappear into the nug, could always mature in the nug and drop pollen.

Thanks for the advice, I will remove the balls once they are awake. I only have 4 plants and 3 of them are showing hermie (all the sativa pineapple pheno), so I will have to deal with seeds if it comes to that
unfortunately. I am a heavy smoker and spend far too much buying it and a lot of the gear round here is either damp or hermie anyways.

Do you guys think the stress in veg caused it to be a ladyboy or the genetics?

If it was stress would that mean the seeds are feminised?

The stress + genetics. That pheno may be more prone to herm if not treated well. You sure you have c99 and not C99 X-line? They are outdoor because for some reason they herm indoor.
