i agree w see4.. amsterdam is just a cool place to visit ime.. i've been all over europe and enjoy travelling, so it's a bit different imo..
yeah, you can get all sorts of weed in say cali, but even still you need to have a card and i still can't imagine sitting in say la out at a sidewalk side table smoking blunt after blunt, or joint after joint, what have you..
there was something i thought i'd never see in walking about a nice sized city and never getting far away from the sweet smell of burning cannabis.. it really is over whelming just how free they are about smoking bud over there imo..
it's also a pretty cool city to see, even outside of cannabis.. all of the canals, the canal boats and shit, it's a lot like venice, but way more user friendly then shit hole venice ime..
people are also super laid back and nice, even if you don't speak dutch it's a breeze to get around there... plus they're look in prostitution and sex in general is awesome to experience.. you think we have freedoms in the us, but we still don't have shit on places like the dam imo...
to the op, check out a site called the smokers guide to amsterdam.. when i was there, i picked up a small book thingy with the same name, and they have klller maps of the city and coupon codes and shit for many coffee shops for like 5 euro..
on the site they do small smoke reports for tons of buds and tell you where you can buy the bud, and they also have a pretty cool section for hashish as well..
i rented a bike when i was there as it was what all the dutch use to get around, and was pretty cheap to rent for a few hours.. might be a bit cold at this time of year though..
