Trimming?

Have a question about trimming, this is my first grow so this is all new to me .... finally got my girls in the ground as was recommended. I think one of the girls is starting to flower as i can see lots of pink hairs, and the lil buds starting to take shape. Should the plant be trimmed or will it hurt the plants at this point. Not sure if I should just leave them be, & let nature take its course, or cut the bigger fan leaves that are blocking sunlight to the lower (nodes or they called)? Started these girls back around the end of feb/early march inside, took them outside around mid june, & left them in their pots until I was instructed to get them in the ground. They have been in the ground a couple weeks now, hoping that will make them grow bigger. Do my plants look okay at this stage? or should they be bigger for their age. Just looking for some constructive criticism or advice. Thanks

Start tying them down. Work it so the plant is growing sideways. The side buds get huge, the plant is not so noticeable and your yield will not suffer. Simply stake it close to the ground. As the tip lengthens, stake it again. Top them too as it slows vertical but allows it to bush more.

Never trim unless the leaf is dead or you have harvested the plant... the fan leaves feed the buds... they are the things that capture the light and turn it into food you trim them it will casue harm to your yield.

Those plants should be way bigger considering you started in March. I'm guessing the inside light wasn't enough, and they were in small pots
