Trimming

What up. New here, and new to growing. Got some outdoor plants that have been flowering for 2 or 3 weeks now. The plants were planted really late but they grew to about 2 feet. Just wondering if it's alright to trim them up (the lower leaves that aren't flowering) while they're still budding. I know this is probaly all in the FAQ's but that page won't open for me for a week or so now. Anyway thanks for any help. Keep smokin

its called lollypopping.

You pull off alll the lower sets of leafs so the plants energy is put towards the upperbuds.

I say you're better off not touching the lower leaves. If they start to yellow, let them fall off naturally. Let your plants get as much energy as possible from those leaves. I could see if you were indoors and the lower leaves weren't going to get any light anyway, then it would make sense to lollypop. Lucky for you and the plants, your grow light doesn't stay in a fixed position all day so the whole plant should get plenty of light.

Welcome to RIU :hump:

At this point, I would say to let them grow! Next time try to plan it out a bit better.
