i've heard from a couple online sources that trimming all new leaf growths will result in a ragged (and harder to identify) plant that will have stress induced crystallization on leaves...or more so than usual...

any knowledge on the subject?
please help me out i need a way to slightly alter my plants appearance... less typical persay haha

thanks! cheers!:joint::joint::mrgreen::mrgreen:

Don't quite know what you're trying to accomplish...?

In general, and through some specific techniques, stress can induce higher resin production in certain strains. This is usually through 48 hour dark cycles prior to harvest & there is anecdotal claims that "damaging" a plant will have similar results.

HOWEVER, any benefits noticed in increased resin production will inevitably be more than offset by a decrease in overall plant growth/production... bud weight. Plants require/need all of their leaves for healthy, strong, bountiful harvests. Practically all the sugar production for bud formation occurs in the leaves. Trust me, and many other for that matter, fuckin your plants over will not make them do something special for you...

If you want something unusual, get new genetics!

You need those fan leafs as healthy as possible to photosynthesize that light, cutting a NEW clones fan leafs on the other hand will help focus growth on a rootbase instead of girth. Nore do you really care for the trics on the leafs, you want swollen calyx, red/blue/pink/orange/brown hairs with amber trics; Unless of course you plan on making hash or something.

Why? What purpose will it serve? Are you trying to alter the look of pot plants so they are not recognized by someone as being pot plants?

Your leaves are basically solar panels that collect the energy from the sun/grow lights that plants then use to do everything they need to so. If you remove many of them or parts of many of them the plant’s growth efficiency and resin and THC production will be reduced and could be reduced dramatically and in an extreme case they could die.

So why do you want to alter the look of your plants when that is what is at stake?

i'm trying this technique on one of my cat piss clones. i clip the tips of the leaves off as they grow. i'll let you know how it turns out. i don't expect any huge difference.

I've stolen clones from my neighbors strawberries, you can find a cutting in the same plot of your crop unless your in the desert? I can really help if i saw a picture of your land

Years ago I took some tomatos out there, bad idea because it just brought insects...Some taller grasses and low shrubs work well for my plot. There is a lot of experience in this, time and trial and error. Take what grows naturally in your region and transplant it to your location.
