Tried many things...need to get aggressive

DWC with fox farm nutes approximately full strength (as per instructions) at week 5, started flowering nutes 3 days ago.
80% distilled 20% filtered tap water (tap is PH 7.7, 290 ppm)
water temp avg about 73, range 70-75
air temp 73 floor, 85 canopy
PH I try for 5.7 but the range is 5.6 - 6.0
ppm is about 1500ppm right now, mostly because of epsom salt
lights are 1 600w hps
air flow is sufficient (two very high speed fans)

please help me, I will rep everyone who posts in this thread. I am totally desperate.

I really need some help. I had a PH problem with my plant when I started growing her, this was several weeks ago here is the thread https://www.rollitup.org/marijuana-plant-problems/337221-ph-problems-need-advice-pics.html

to sum it up, that problem was caused by huge ph swings from 5.5 to 8. Those are fixed now, and have been fixed for at least a week to ten days.

The problem wasn't getting better, so I was convinced I had a mg / cal deficiency. here's that thread: https://www.rollitup.org/marijuana-plant-problems/339608-yellow-spots-other-questions-just.html

first I tried aquarium cal and mag to about 1200 ppm (nute water was about 700 ppm before I added the cal mag). -- 2-3 days pass, it's getting worse.

then I tried spraying the leaves with epsom salt (1 tbsp per gallon). 2 days pass, no major change, but it's not but it's not getting better.

then I tried epsom salt in the nute water (1 tbsp per gallon) which took the ppm to about 3000 ppm, so I had to pour out some and add some fresh water until the ppm was about 1500. 2 days pass, it's getting worse.

So I am at the end of my rope, and I really need some help.

I am starting to think that I should flush for 24 hours and then add just the fox farm nutes and nothing else (well besides water of course).

The reason being is my two other plants I started later (once I figured out the PH stuff) are totally green, not a single spot on them, and one is already 10 inches and very bushy, with 9 nodes. So I am wondering if I am over doing it with all the mag and cal.

I am so frustrated right now, because this plant could be awesome, but it's just going to be "ok" (if that) if I can't fix this problem. I am open to anything, but please keep in mind, I've really tried a lot. I don't think the cal mag is helping, unless you think I'm not using enough. The Fox Farm already has cal and mag in it as well, so I'm now worried I've over done it.

Thanks in advance I will rep everyone who posts.

here are some new pics showing how bad things are getting.bottom_leaf_617.jpganother_bottom_617.jpgmiddle_617.jpgleaf_617.jpganother_617.jpg

I'd try flushing them for about a week, making sure to test the water's PH beforehand each watering. It's worth a shot, I think.

its a pity ppl dont take the time to dial in b4 they go into flower.

firstly STOP adding shit, drop the epsom salts and woteva else.
flush for a day with plain ph'd water then back onto lower nutes (around 1000ppm), and wait at least 4 days for improvement.

see ur FF nutes have everything ur plants need, including the cal/mag so adding more when they are sick makes things worse. the nutes are there, they are having trouble taking it up!
u need to go back to the start, bring ur plant back to ground zero by flushing ph'd water then add ph'd nutes, slighty weaker. and she'll be right

Ok, first is this just 1 plant? If so ask yourself if it is worth it anymore? You've been thru alot so I can imagine not wanting to let her go but sometimes ya gotta pull the plug...

got to agree with streetlegal. Haven't used ff nutes, but i've read that most users only add about 70-80% strength. When you look at your n-p-k ratios and your micronutrients you have to understand that all fertilizer manufacturers post the minimum amounts of salts in the mix. These ratios are not always spot on and usually exceed the amounts on the bottle.

Lower nutrients to 500 ppm and check roots for discoloration. Look for spots and a brown slim. If you find it gently rinse the roots off with clean water. Let them dry about an hour. Then lower your water level to about half to expose those roots to air. Just my opinion. Good luck

Quitters don't win, Winner's don't quit...all i got to say to that.

Towards your problem Ilcattivo, I would say ppm is your problem. I wouldn't go over 1100ppm unless my plants showed nute def at 1100ppm which I highly dought.
Also Cal/Mag should not be your problem especially if tap water is at 300ppm. Try letting the water sit for 24hrs so the chlorine evaporates and check ppm.

I would give your plants a really good flush and start feeding 7-800 ppm.

Thanks to everyone who responded. I have the plants in about 350ppm since last night (been about 18 hours). I think I will start the nutes again when they wake up tomorrow at around 7-800 ppm. Looking back I see how stupid it was to just keep throwing crap in the bucket hoping it would solve my problem. +Rep'd everyone who posted. I will be sure to post back in a few days once the plant is doing good again.

things are coming along pretty well. The problem hasn't been spreading, but it did get worse for another day or two after I did the first flush -- man I did a lot of damage. But, he plant is taking up so much water now, like a gallon a day, it's unbelievable. Flowers are starting to form. I read something by riddleme about "make it rain" or something like that, so I am trying that out in my own way. I am running pretty heavy nutes (about 80% of recommended) and following that up with 1 day with just plain ph'd water, and it seems to be working. I guess I just have a lot to learn. It's hard keeping the nutes low, I just want to use the max all the time, but I am getting over it. Thanks for checking up Kimi, I think I'm going to get something off of this plant. I can't post any pics right now, cause I sent my camera in to be cleaned (it's all dusty inside), but I should have it back in about 2 weeks.

Thanks!
