if the Plant has mostly clear trichs can it still be potent?
So if the Plants Leaves are all drying up and everything is frosty as hell 8 weeks out it will still be good to goYes, my sativas are mostly clear and potent as hell.
Very Little Milky and a couple of Amber. I thought the amber were spider mites at firstYou have amber trichs and clear trichs but no milky?
Doesn't make much sense tbh but if you have amber trichs you should probably harvest if you are looking for an energetic head high.
i've run across one strain that didn't follow the usual trich schedule(nl#5 from HGS)As a general rule of thumb, clear trichs do not produce a high most people are looking for.
However some strains have trichs which do not change much, I have yet to see a strain which doesn't go milky though.
Usually some of the "weird" strains have trichs which don't go amber.
...
interesting information, that does make some senseThe "clear-honey (yellowish)" is the 2nd stage (milky/smokelike/yellowish) for a strain such as you talk about.
I've seen those plants as well, milky is just a lot more 'normal'.
However it sounds weird that it still was such a head high when it didn't turn amber, it must've been a special strain which not only didn't turn amber but had a yellowish tinge instead of milky.
I guess your plant was just a freak like one with no change to amber and just a heavy head high anyway.
Just proves how you sometimes can't trust trichomes ^^
I guess I would've gone for swollen calyxes and receding pistils in that case, but it sounds like that strain is hard to manage growone
I guess it's because it's a weird situation you were in, doesn't happen often I'd think.interesting information, that does make some sense
i didn't get too much feedback when i posted a thread on this, but someone did post some similar info to yours
that strain was let go, it took too long to ripen for an indica(12 weeks of flower!)
but there are other freaky trich shows out there, the more i read about this amazing plant, the more i realize i don't know
Because sometimes time is of the essencewhy spend however many months growing to have a quality produce only to harvest a week short? maybe not even a week just moniter for a few more days i say!
