Trellis vs bamboo?? Suggestions please!

Depends on the strain. long lanky diesels or trainwrecks like bamboo because they grow long top heavy buds.

But indica doms that you top love trellis netting. you can use both, just depends on which you can secure easier. bamboo is hard if you dont go through the soil/roots. but its also hard for people to hand trellis with enough tension to work right.

I personally, drill holes around the top of my 5 gallon buckets that i set my pots in and then loop string through it and tie down branches individually. Then during the end of flower i cut the strings off the bucket and tie them around the main stem so they dont fall over haha.

Wow, thats an interesting way to do it. How has that gone for you? Do you find its more or less work than with bamboo/netting? How about the yield?


I think I'm looking for something more simple. I'm going to google some different types of plant cages now and see what i can find. I will report back if I find something good.

trellis netting. Way more surface area to use to train plants.
