Traveling from Cali to Hawaii with bud, but what about paraphernalia?

So in July I'm going with my family from either SFO or SJC to Maui. I know I can get bud through security with no problem because I'm a MMJ patient here in California. But I am curious about getting paraphernalia through security. I am thinking of buying a new mini pipe for cheap right before the trip and bringing it, it would be new so there wouldn't be any marijuana resin/residue for them to claim its marijuana paraphernalia. Once my trip is over I plan to just break it that way I don't come home with any marijuana or paraphernalia for the Hawaiian TSA/police to get me for. But would a glass pipe make it through an X-ray in SFO or SJC? If I was questioned on it, would I just have to claim that its a tobacco pipe and I'd be good? I'm a little paranoid because its my first time flying with bud/paraphernalia so I'm not sure how it all works.

I would but I looked at some of the smoke shops that are over there online and the cheapest thing I saw was like $20 and if I can pay $5 here for a pipe I will only be using for 10 days then I'll go with the cheaper one. If it breaks in my luggage then I'll buy one over there.

Everything in Hawaii that's not made in hawaii cost more in hawaii. Also, I've had to throw my stash away traveling from Hawaii to cali, its been a few years but ypu should check if your card is valid in hawaii, it's probably not.

I checked and they don't have a reciprocity agreement with any state so you're right, it isn't good over there. I've heard you can bring an oz without too much hassle from TSA (they probably won't even check me). My parents think I only smoke to get to sleep so I won't need to bring too much.

Tbh if you cant find grade A bud in hawaii then thats some extremly shit luck.
1g = 20$
3.5 = 45-60$
1/4 = 70-100$
1/2 = 140-180$
1 = 270-300$

Those are street prices bro, its nice out everyday. most people blaze out here.

Is it easy to find on the island of Hilo? I'm heading out to Hawaii also. I've gone to New York with a 1/4 oz and they even found it (out of SFO) n just told me to "place it on the conveyor" . But that's when New York had just changed laws. When I get off the plane shouldn't be a problem though I assume. In Hawaii that is... 11 days with no bud is a long time. Well according to my wife that is. She says I get all "dickish"

I went to Hawaii when I was 19. Got some bud from a dude we rented a car from. Still to this day the best bud Ive ever smoked. Gram was 20 bucks, which I thought was ridiculous, then I got it. I was happy.

I've had friends recently take some bud to Hawaii with no trouble. They brought pieces as well but I've no idea if they were old or not. If it were me I would just bring a cheap new one (or clean up an old one you didn't care about). I doubt they'd make you get rid of it.

I know SFO, Oakland or LAX are MMJ friendly. I assume San Jose would be too but can't say I've seen it in writing or heard from anyone about it.

And while Hawaii doesn't have a reciprocity agreement with California patients you really don't need to worry unless you are being super obvious and annoying people.

I can see how bringing something back from Hawaii might be trouble since according to Hawaiian authorities you shouldn't have any bud with you. Just smoke it all.

Yeah i hear that all the time from alot of people. The best weed i have ever smoked was chemdawg from the big island hawaii. That shit smelled like straight up gas and kush for miles yet tasted so sweet and full of flavor.
When it comes to weed in hawaii, its still illegal. So when we get weed shipped here, nobody is going to risk sending anything less then grade A. Thats why its always dank lol. Its hard to find bad weed but its around and exist everywhere.

I wouldn't know where to look in hilo, but im sure you'll spot someone before you know it.

I mean I'm not a white dude that looks like a cop. I pretty much stand out as a smoker but I don't just want to go up to random folks and ask where's the weed. I probably will but all subtle of course. Is there a specific name for it there ?

Like here I just say sticky icky or Dank. Most call it trees/bud now

Hawaii has a medical program. The canabis I got while I was there was grown there.

You should be more worried about bringing weed thru a federal jurisdiction into a state where you will have no medical status than bringing a little piece of clean glass. I've seen dogs at Honolulu airport on several occasions. Not saying people don't do it all the time and get away with it, but Hawaii isnt Cali and at the moment, they are even trying to ban our own medical patients from travelling interisland with med's.

Weed on the big island is cheap. You can get dank ounces for $150-250 max. Oahu herb is more than likely some imported cali stuff and you pay more than twice as much as you would in cali, especially if you are a tourist asking around.
