I'm vegging in one right now. I'm using a 32gal Rubbermaid Roughneck with 4 42w CFLs. One thing i wish i had done differently with it was i wish i had a square trashcan... A circle is hard to mount square fans and square everything on. If you havent bought one yet, i reccomend getting a square one.

Also temps are high, but manageable. I have a 120mm 85cfm computer fan for exhaust, a 80mm 35cfm computer fan blowing across the lights and circulating the air. Before i added the 80mm fan, temps were in the high 80's, but now they're in the low 80's.

And make sure to paint more than one layer. My can has 2 coats of white inside and it still glows a little. I would do 2 coats of white inside, and 2 of black outside

what about a metal can? seal the top so no light shines out but still be able to remve the lid. just use rubber between the fan and the can to stop rattle. fans would suck in air and exit out the bottom ( just add a divider in the space under the can so it looks like a reg can. air in would enter bottom and air out would enter a pvc pipe set a few inches from the top of can and follow pipe down (inside can) and out the bottom of can. what do yall think??

didnt mean to highjack thread just an idea
