Trap light

I just saw your other thread and I think you are trying to ask if the light needs to be in an enclosure like a tent? It definitely helps, but I would recommend a small tent over the type of container you are using. Small tents are very affordable and there are some really cheap ones out there.
 
You get increased yield by having the light bounce off walls etc. Corners are better than middle of the room etc. How much more yield I don't know because I have always used walls or filled rooms. Maybe somebody can tell you how much more.
