You might as well just start them off in like a 5 gallon pot, coz the last thing you wanna have to do is keep repotting and repotting coz it's all just unneeded stress for the plant. Generally, when you transplant, the roots should be full in the pot [but not rootbound, obviously]
But theres nothing stopping you from just starting in a bigger pot. It wouldnt cause any trouble. And you wouldnt have to transplant. 1 gallon pots dont sound big enough anyway.

look this over.

My planting tip for 16oz cups.
edit the roots are fine thru the full grow.
Lots more root room

i only have a 2x2x67 of room. not sure if five gal buckets will fit in there with 6 plants.. i have alot of one gal buckets...

i've grown clones side by side in diff pots. they drink 1/2 gallon every other day. so with small pots lots of small waterings. with a big pot one water every oter day. thats the only diff.

you will be fine in the 6" pots just use some thing like this and give them water as soon as they want it or the root start to gro in search of water.

since this is my first grow im not looking for too much height with the plants, planning on flowering when there bout 12 inches just to see how they do. im keeping my good bean for later.. so if i fuck this up then i wont be pissed cuz there bagseed..you will be fine in the 6" pots just use some thing like this and give them water as soon as they want it or the root start to gro in search of water.

well with the first grow bag seed can be a good choise but some strains get tall.
this is a 12/12 from seed no veg time. around day 75 at 52"
she was 42.8 grams dry weight.
this grower (joeyjoejoe) does this.

i like the 1 gallon the best for my grows and room size 4' x 4' x 8'tall
it's 8oz to 16oz of nutes for breakfast and 8oz to 16oz of h2o for a bed time snack.

Ive seen 1 gal pots in grows easily being stacked onto of each other with a layer of soil when the roots started popping out. thats what im planning on doing.
