Transplant?

I'm 2.5 weeks into 12/12. Flowering progress is good and the plants are healthy, but they pretty much maxed out their current soil containers.

Can I go ahead and leave them alone for the remainder of the grow, or is it imperitive that I transplant?

How big are the plants, how big are the containers and how long have they been in those pots?
 
Plants are avg 18" tall I'd say in 1-1.5 gallon pots. They've been in there for 4 weeks or so.

I killed some males last weekend and did examine the soil and roots. The soil was encompassed entirely by the root mass and was very solid, but I'm guessing that is by design, and I've done a good job with wet/dry watering so the roots have gone on a growth quest for water on a number of occassions.

I'd say you can go either way. Leave them in the posts they're in and simply feed them liquid nutrients or repot them into a larger container and let them feed on that for another 3-4 weeks.

At nearly three weeks flowering you're getting to the stage where root growth will slow down and you'll stress the plants by repotting them now. If you want to repot them you need to do it fairly quickly.

If it were me, I'd probably leave them as is.
 
i dont like to transplant in flowering either, however if you are transplanting to ass more volume of media to control water losss ratio i would say ok! otherwise i would stay in the existing pot
 
Nah, I'm OK with having to water more frequently. Thankfully vertical growth has slowed considerably (holy moly did they stretch), so I figured the same would be with the root growth.

I just didn't want to kill'em at this point -- I'm too far along. :)

Oh, here's a pic of where I'm at. First timer, and babygro you probably remember the problems I had earlier on. All's well...

Oh, and hey, if any of you have any guesses on what type of cannabis we're looking at here, lemme know.
