Transferring from ebb and flow to DWC for flower

I have a ebb and flow table I want to use for vegging and then transfer them to DWC buckets for flowering. What kind of grow mediums do I need in the ebb and flow table? Just 6" pots full of hydroton and rockwool then when Im ready to transfer I pull the roots out with rockwool and place in DWC in hydroton? Does that sound right? or is there something I am not seeing?

You don't use hydroton for an ebb and flow, you use Giant rockwool cubes. Look at some legit ebb&flow grows and see how they have it setup.

how long are you planning on vegging for your not going to want to pull up the roots. just use 6" circle net pots and when ready just slip right into bucket lid.

Lots of ppl use hydroton is ebb and flows. Maybe you should look at some different setups,

Yeah you could use hydroton in both. Using net pots then just sswapping the whole pot into the dwc bucket lid would be easiest and you could probably make it work even though ebb and flow doesn't usually use net pots. I've thought about doing the same thing just from aero to dwc.

The reason I would use the cubes is because Rockwool holds water allot better then hydroton does and he wont have to mess with his roots when he transfers which is pretty improtant. By using the cube he's already going to have a nice root mass in a nicer structure that he can just plop into a 6inch net pot and use the hydroton to fill the rest. That how all of my clones are done that I get.
