Training/pruning question…..need ideas

Hello, my current grow consists of 2 plants that were given to me when were 5-6weeks old. The previous grower had neglected them and they were in rough shape. They had not been topped, so they had the usual apical look…except very sad…..no secondary shoots and nodes were a mile apart…...that was 2 weeks ago.
I got them stabilized and thriving, then I cut the top 1/3rd or so and tied down the 9 or 10 remaining branches. They’ve since taken off and are starting to look good. I also upped my lights-out temps for closer nodes.
My question concerns how to shape them from this point forward. They are going to need to veg for another 3/4 weeks min, as I want to grow 3 plants and my options for plant #3 are week old seedlings….
You can see in the pic that the branches are lying rather horizontally with the tops forming a circle. I’m getting new growth off the bottom & middle of the branches that’s still tiny.
Should I let the plant continue to grow and see how many of those new shoots become healthy viable tops? Or prune them all, leaving just my main 9 or 10 tops, which will be lollipopped??
I’ve noticed in the past that new growth near the bottom of a branch can sometimes show problems…..burnt tips and the like, despite the other 99% of the plant looking great. Like when I super crop a branch, the smaller new growth at the bottom seems to do it , even though it’s getting direct light.
I hope I’m making sense.
Normally my grows are short with tons of tops and a fairly even canopy. I prefer this…..but I’ve never taken this route.
I’d love to hear some thoughts and ideas.
I toyed with the idea of removing all the new middle growth and topping each main top one more time. Then I could pull one of each of the new tops inside and the other tie down on the outside. I’ve got some time to play, I just need some options. Thanks folks. IMG_8214.jpegimage.jpgIMG_8215.jpeg
