Topping while in flower ? Good or Bad

So I've heard alot of questions centered around topping during preflower and I have found No Answers soooo ? I decided to try it. As soon as pistils started showing I topped 5 colas. And this is what I have so far.... All of them that were topped doubled having 2 main colas at the top while the rest of the untopped have only one. There's one that has 3 colas where I left a little bit remaining when I topped it. Also the ones that were topped all are fatter and have more bud sites than the ones that were not topped. So here's the answer to topping while beginning of flowering. Yes you can do it without bad consequences as long as you do it as soon as your plant shows pistils. Well at least I would suggest it I know I will do it to all my females not auto. THIS IS NOT AN AUTO FLOWER. This is one plant grown in 4 inch rockwool cube then placed in top feed DWC 5 Gallon bucket with two air stones

Dmcase I do all my topping in veg and give the plants time to recover and grow some colas before flower.

If you top in flower you're not giving your plant time to recover to grow some good colas.

Yeah all you're doing is dividing the size of the colas mate. More of them but a lot smaller. Pretty pointless really.

I guess it proves you can do it, but I think we already knew that.

I don't think this suggests its optimal as it would clearly be better to have done it earlier in veg so the plant could produce more growth shoots.

I used to do this in my microgrow. It drastically reduces the plant height because part of the stretch is recovery from the topping.
It doesnt hurt the plant, it just decreases height and diminishes your final harvest weight due to the time spent recovering. A less aggressive way to achieve the same thing without slowing down the plant much would be just to tie down the tops and let the lowers reach the canopy.

Correct and that's what I'm talking about topping in veg and right at pre flower to boost more bud sights idk I guess I'm still pretty new. Have you ever topped an auto

You can top in flower but in the end I think it will do more harm to yields than good. Yes you will get more colas but I would think the 2 smaller colas will likely give less weight than 1 large one. That's just my opinion.

You can get the same "shortening" results from a massive defoliation right when you flip also fyi..
