Topping vegetative plant, residue/smoke

Hello.
I'm still on my first growth. It's going good so far.

I have a little question regarding the residue left from topping my veg plants before switching to flowering:
Can you smoke the residue and expect a high of it?
Some say the top of the plant has a decent potency, but I thought it didn't produce any good stuff before it turned to flowering? Two of my plants smell quite nice, though.

You can smoke it and get some type of buzz from it but it will not be representative of a clean high from a mature plant. Likelihood for headaches, high anxiety and disappointment.

If you want to put them to use, turn them into clones and grow them out!

Or eat them.
I really like the taste of fresh young tops.
