So I'm about to start my next indoor grow here in like 2 weeks and I plan on topping them to get a better yield. I then intend on using the tops as clones to grow outdoors. My question is is it worth it to top these clones once outside? The sites I read say topping is specifically an indoor technique because the light source will remain on top of the plant so making it bushier instead of taller is better. Is the same true for outdoors? My assumption is no and that the plants natural Christmas tree shape is because it adapted that way to get light from the sun at all angles as it moves across the sky. Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm trying to get as a big of a yield as possible because these things take so long to grow.
