topping an ak47 lowryder???

hi i have a fem that is a short bush with a pathetic top i wanted to top it to give the under branches more light any ideas on if this is a good idea???

Really need to see some pics... pathetic in what way? Is she flowering? I wouldnt top it honestly...

these auto's have such a short life span youd probably loose alot of yield. Mine was looking small for a while but she fattened up.
