Hey guys I am just on the internet buying things that I can' get locally or that are cheaper online and I wanted to make sure I am hitting the necessities. I am getting a larger grinder, boveda packs, a bho extractor, and a hygrometer off the internet. I am getting jars, and brown paper bags at walmart. Am I missing anything?

a dry cure rack
a scale to weight out plus weight to cal it
a box of gloves (trust me u will thank me later)
a sharp blade to scrape the scissors..........the trim u will need too several times
trimming sheers .........get the ones with the spring open ....i take that organe locking thing off mine
masking tape......each jar weights different u need to mark what it weights when empty no lid then / and mark it what it weights..........this way u take the lid off and weight u see what was lost in water or ppl getting off u can check your work
sharpie pen

as for bho
extractor
silk screens (cover extractor) 100micron or smaller........the smaller the better
oil slick mat
slick containers
a grittle (to use to purge bho on oil slick mat before u put in in the slick container)
butane box of 12
set of razor blades (dull the edges)
none stick oil stirrer tool...........get it cold and the stuff flacks off for cleaning it
and a dish to extract into (your oil slick mat goes in that the bho goes on that to work with )
a dish that the first dish can fit in with warm/hot water in the bottom to speed the first purge up

or u can get a vac pump and a shatter chamber and a mat............remove the grittle razors and dishes

U dont need a drying rack use hangersim not saying hes wrong all this is as right as it gets just saying improvise u can keep boiling water instead of buying a grittle u can stir the bho with a nail u only need a scale if your a drug dealer a half gallon mason jar holds 2 to three ozs depending on density.you will need a Pyrex dish that fits into another Pyrex dish some butain razors and a screen you can use coffe filters or cheese cloth if you want ,jars ,scissors. U can also use a bubble bag and some dry ice to extract keef.

i've trimmed a bunch over the years and never wore gloves. i had to wear them when i was a respiratory therapist and i prefer to avoid them.

i handle the buds very gently and hold them by a tiny bit of stem whenever possible. when i take a break from trimming, i use some hand sanitizer to clear off all that nasty sticky stuff. :)

i recommended gloves too and when you say hand sanitizer do you mean like germ x? cause ive used alot of soap and cant seem to get that sticky stuff off for atleast like 1-2 days lol

Thanks guys I've got gloves, scissors, a scale, sheers, a griddle, two Pyrex dishes, I'm getting the butane locally, silk screen and clamp come with the extractor. I need razor blades, (totally forgot) I may look into a couple oil slick mats and jars, but I planned on getting parchment paper, hmmmmm keep it coming though!

Get a can of Pam Vegtable/Olive Oil Spray. It's great for cleaning up. A box of gloves is always nice to have around throughout your grow.

im no expert but id think that parchment would add a wax to the mix, since its mainly wax paper... you could also use a sil mat found at like bed bath and beyond for a non stick reuseable surface. i just watched a video last night on this subject, and thats what they were useing....

the guy is right

adviod partchment paper ...........how is it made is not standardize..........so the thicken of the papper and wax differs from brand to brand .......i seen more ppl lost whole batch do to getting parchment paper

invest in the oil slick mats...............they have small ones and even whole table ones ...........they are resueable and designed to take heat up to 500 f...(when u are done u just use dish soap and water to clean up freeze the mat once then do a wave cracking motion and good to go for next time)

as for the gloves yes i would get then .........assuming it only u doing the triming so that means u have to handle it all the more u do the more the tips of your fingers get sticky at some point in the day u will touch other stuff and it sticks to u (takes me 3 to 5 hours for that to ware off and back to normal ....since then i always wear gloves)

oh to help u if u do get all gooey from clipping u nd your tools u can use very strong ach to clean up.........has to be strong tho as in will light on fire 100proof or higher .........after i scrap the trimmers i soak them in a shotglass filled with moonshine to clean them at the end of the day i take the shot (6 to 7 hours of trimming u need one)

yes it gets me happy ..........but i drink the stuff all the time since i make it

the mash buckets to make moonhsine makes alot of Co2 so when i grow i move in a bucket or 2 to the tent to use the Co2 to help thicken out my buds ..............each bucket is good for about 5 to 6 days then after that i get a gallon of 160 proof moonshine from the bucket

as for that trimmer i would not use it they have a better one out

basically it is a dreamel tool with cutting blades.............like take the buds to get a hair cut .......like that 1980s inventions the haircut vaccum

Just wash your hands with soap then dry them and run your fingers threw your hair!of course you got to shower after you do that but it works!

Thanks again guys I actually do have a silpat or silmat whatever its called. I was wondering if that would be similar! I have some pretty damn good disposable gloves, I had never heard of using pam to clean up though? It seems like it would be too oily to use to clean up stuff. My dad makes moonshine too, lol, I might have to hit him up for some to soak my utensils in.

Thank you for warding me away from the parchment :0 I was planning on storing the oil flat between two in like a ziplock... but that is a no no right?

yah no in storing it like that

it is best to get one of the slick containers i linked yah those will not hold on to any thing it comes out easy ..........the best part is u can place them ontop of your computerscreen(warm up there) and the container will get warm and the oil inside will purge slowly ................i normall purge it on the mat for about 45 mins a hour then move to one of these and then set it on top of my cooltube purge it on that for 2 or 4 days

with bho u can never purge it all out it is impossible even with the vac pump some is left .................if u get the stackable kind u can do what i do if u get the ball kind i am unsure since i never owned or seen one

if u get big and decide too u can build a centrifuge...........this is how u get the real stuff the prue stuff ..........it requires a big one to spin the oils out of the buds hence why we use BHO

Lol, I will pass on the centrifuge, but I will grab some of those little containers! I am glad I asked here before exposing myself to the crap on parchment paper, so thanks for that! Also, I will remember after I make the bho and do the first couple of purges that I need to keep the oil on something warm to keep purging. Thanks a lot man you've been a loooot of help ;)
