No info needed, just wondering if it's the beginning of nitrogen toxicity. You gave no information to go with a picture that doesn’t represent what you’re seeing? Media looks bone dry though as an observation only though
It's roughlyAre you growing in peat?
It's about to start eating very well. Roots are just hitting the water zone.No info needed id guess its hungry if anything
Mixed a small amount in the medium.Do you top dress?
They recommend 40% perlite and no heavy soils to avoid compacting.I've never tried octopots but I don't like the idea with peat. My understanding is top feeding takes weeks for everything to break down and when you water on top your forcing these nutrients to leach throughout the soil.
They recommend amending your soil just enough so it feeds till the roots hit the reservoir.I know nothing of octopots but it only shows using liquid nutes in the res? Not sure how/ if additional dry nutes in soil will effect anything
Can you recommend anything to replace the peat next time?I've never tried octopots but I don't like the idea with peat. My understanding is top feeding takes weeks for everything to break down and when you water on top your forcing these nutrients to leach throughout the soil.
