Too Loose?

On my soil mix 1 part Peat Moss, 1 part Perlite, 1 part Garden Soil, 2 parts Compost and Rainbow Pro Mix Grow, Lime and Wood Ash.

Right now growing in Plastic Self Watering Pots.

All my plants go crazy on this soil roots go go go.

Had a person tell me my soil was too loose that the plants are looking for water.

I don't think this is the case because I was using Vermiculite and looked like it was holding water too long.

I'm thinking of just going the way I am the girls seem happy.

If you can physically support the plant and it holds enough water, it’s fine. Ask them about hydro. Is water “too loose” for plants to grow? Soil with lots of air pockets makes microbes happy.

its when it’s too dense exp for young plants when it’s a huge issue. Shoot over watering is if not #1 biggest issue as a gardener needs to know and avoid
