Too Dry?

I just harvested and did the initial drying but how dry is too dry? They seemed like they had a little bit to go on the 4th day and on the 5th day they seemed very dry and brittle. I promptly put in jars to cure but am wondering if I should rehydrate with a peel or something. Thanks.

honestly at a certain point I think the best thing to do is just smoke a tiny bit, and see how it's doing that way, if it toasts under the fire really fast or the joint keeps burning when not being hit longer than it should, you're probably too dry...

The bits that will have been brittle will have been salks that you missed.leaves that you will have cut back.too put the plants in a jar at this early stage would be drastic you will probebly get some kind of rot put it inside a old shoe box too dry in the future this help it draw the moisture out into the card.but putting some kind of peel in with the weed is only done if the weed is shit and you need to add a little smell. Don't do it bro.

How are the stems? Do they snap? Or do they bend?

If they have some bend in them, seal them in air tight jars and the moisture from within the stems will redistribute.

I don't suggest any form of rehydration until perhaps 1 or 2 days before smoking it. It'll keep dry as a bone for a long time.
