Too Dry While Curing?

I recently dried my harvested plants and put them in mason jars to cure. I’ve been reading a lot of things about curing from this site. When I first put my buds into jars the humidity was about 52% - 61% on Saturday. Now they are 50% - 57% - 59% - 61% - 63%. I burp them once a day for about 10 minutes. Should I be burping them more often?

You may have over done it for some on the dry, try and burp those a little less time than the rest.. its hard to tell though by words alone, what ever you do dont listen ti people who say to introduce moisture by adding anything to the jar, ive found if always guves a hay smell, ive tried fan leaves, orange peels, wet qtips, all mess with the smell, hell the orange peels are a sure fire way of introducing mold aswell.
I di dig bovedas or anything similar though.

I do have the humidity packs to raise it to 62%. You think I should throw that into the jar that’s at 50%?
 
Theoretically if you are below 62 inside the jar you don't need to open the jars as often and consequently every time you open the jars you lose moisture and if you drop below 55 percent you no longer have the possibility to do the curing even if you add something to rehydrate the flowers.
In theory you should gradually get to 62%/58% and then you don't open the jars again even for months.

If you introduce them to try to recover that moisture to continue curing, don't do it-it would do no good.
Use them only if you plan to store that weed for a long time or if you're bothered by the weed being so dry.
Humidifier packs should only be used for long-term storage

Thank you so much! So since I have 3 other jars that are just below 62% I shouldn’t even burp/open them up anymore?

However, I am not saying not to open them honestly! I would open them once a week for the first period! And then less and less
And remember to always move the flowers inside the jars.

I really do appreciate all the advice. I feel like I just destroyed my harvest lol. If you got any advice on drying that would be amazing as well cause I’ve read so many different techniques and I just can’t seem to get that right either. It sucks putting all that time into growing and end up ruining towards the end.
 
I feel you bro, dont sweat it, it take a couple of fucks before you get the hang of it.
Try growing different strains next time and chop at different times si you can hang everything at different times and gain more experience if that makes sense..

Id take what that perfect cure everytime thread says with a grain of salt, its been mentioned before here that that thread has messed up more grows than its helped.
does teach a basic understanding though, just don’t follow it to a T

Naah! You haven't destroyed anything brother, a lot of people don't do curing and prefer the fresher flower and many cure just because they have large quantities and have to keep it at its best for months. I am not an expert like others in this forum but I can advise you the following things.
It's all about how you dry and how long you take and trust me that if you dry it well and to the right point you won't need to curing for months to get a great taste and smell.
I dry the whole plant for 10-14 days at 62 degrees fareneith and at 58-60%, the important thing is not to exceed 60% humidity which this would lead to mold, always have air exchange and good airflow, (just as long as the tops are not moved by the wind) slower the better!
Don't wait for the flowers to dry until the stem breaks completely, you need to have the flower dry to the touch and the stem still bending and then if the humidity inside the jars gets high proceed to open the jars once a day for 10 minutes or more until you get to 62% or at any rate to the desired point

Edit: temperature is most important since it is what causes the terpenes to evaporate (as well as degrade the thc), many dry up to 70°F but I would not exceed 65°.
60° and 60%rh would be perfect

No need to burp jars anymore. Sounds like they are perfect for smoking right now.

If you need to rehydrate a little, throw a few green fan leaves in the jar for 24 hrs then toss the leaves.
