You can buy small little canisters in most grocery stores or diy stores. They are usually in the aisle where the dishwash sponges are located. They are for small spaces and should help you.

This is gonna sound weird, but how about making a "necklace" out of pantyhose and rice? Rice is used to keep salt dry, and you just need enough surface area, right? I only did this for the drying (made a rice necklace sort of thing), but what I did was poured maybe a quarter cup of uncooked rice into the hose, tied a knot, poured in more, tied a knot, kept doing that til I got to the end of the hose. Hung that in my drying box, et voila.

How are you growing? If it's hydro I don't see the rice thing working at all because of evaporation as well as transpiration.

You can use newspapers...hang a couple and change daily..let dry and use again..if you look inside a dehumidifier its just a hanging cloth/material with air circulation. It won't bring it low, but it'll help get you a better range.......plus if you can water and let water seep out of pot away from grow area... Luck..

I was playing with the rice hose necklace last night. The hose is really silky, and the rice is fun to play with in it. Also, you can make it a weapon. And by that I mean YOU, as in NOT me, because I already hurt myself with it.

Buy a used dehumidifier, nothing else will absorb enough water continuously. You need to keep humidity below 70% for your plants to transpire moisture and draw up nutrients from the roots. The canister things require refills of the chemical calcium chloride. You can buy that as a ice melter where ever sidewalk salt is sold. Better than nothing, I guess.
