Tips on reducing recovery time

Thought I would share couple tips I've picked up from other extractv artist and trial and error.

I'm using standard Bhogart 5lb active closed loop unit and recovering with cmep refrigerant pump... I use a blender to grind up material. This allows me to fit 7lb in my column. Im using cmep recovery pump and just bought appion g5 but I'm not using it yet. ..Running about 40lbs of butane....

1) very common mistake I see Is people don't cover the their recovery tank with over all the way to the top. ... you should barely brake to see the top of your recovery tank thru the ice. .

2) very common tip but I'll put it on here.... add a lot of rock salt. .... doing this liters my temp about 8-10 degrees

3) find a way to insulate the container your recovery tank sits in.... I use a thick blanket around 50 gal container and another covering the top. ... keeps my recovery tank temp between -2 and 5 degrees. ..

4) Adding condenser coil will reduce recovery time

5)upgrade to 3/8 hose

6) second recovery pump can reduce time if your lid will allow for second pump. ..

7) when recovering I noticed keeping the water at 700-90 degrees consistently will help a lot along with a small aquarium pump to circulate the water. ... a good tool to invest in I'd Anova sous vide cooker. ... it's basically an immersion heater but works very well for what we are doing... if you are having to haul buckets of water from your tub look into getting immersion heater. ..

Any one want to add anything?
