Hey, I was watering my plants today and noticed that when I was watering there were these tiny white bugs crawling around in the mix. They seem to only come out during watering. I mixed promix hp with worm castings and some gaia green amendments. Anyone know what these are and if I should get the plants out of my house or if it isn't a big deal. Thanks.

Springtails. They are harmless and could also be consider beneficial. They feed on dead plant matter, they don't harm your plant.

had this problem on my auto I grew this last spring. but they didnt do harmful to the plant. they only fun to watch jumping.. I manage to get them out only by drying my saucer everytime i was watering. they seems to not love dry spot.. it can appears you got them in house near all plumbing faucets in the basement.

The only thing that worries me is that they don't seem to be jumping at all. Just squirming in and out of the mix and walking around. Hope it is these springtail things though. Will have to watch a little more as I didn't pay that much attention.

They don't always "jump". Sometimes you'll just see them wiggle about on the surface and them submerge back into the medium with the water.

Looks like springtails, I had them once and they were my best buds (edit: and my best cannabis buds) I ended up cloning the 3 plants (without the springtails) and they were just not as good.. probably through my own faults but I noticed a quality difference myself.

I've noticed a decline in springtail numbers?
I recycled coco and expected it to have lots when I opened it up, I only see the occasional one now under the pot?

I don't miss them but I didn't see them as a problem either, I find it odd that the numbers have declined without any input from me?
Recycling coco they're better to be there than not I think, OK I do miss them :-)
